New Leadership Sparks Excitement as Likius Hafeni Takes the Reins as Head Coach of CFC Atletica

SALEM, Ore. – Capital Futbol Club (CFC) is proud to announce Likius Hafeni as Head Coach of the Club’s USL W League squad, CFC Atletica.

“I am looking forward to the upcoming season and the ability to work with fantastic players,” says Hafeni. “We hope to play some exciting soccer and engage with our wonderful community.”

Originally from Namibia, Hafeni was brought to Salem in 2009 by the Cascade Surge - the Club’s first pre-professional team who competed in the USL Premier Development League. Following his playing career, Hafeni decided to make Salem his home focusing on furthering his education and beginning his coaching career.

“We’re excited to have Coach Hafeni back with our pre-professional teams,” says Executive Director, Collin Box. “Likius will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to our team as well help build community around the women’s game here in Salem.”


Hafeni’s Coaching Accolades : 

2015 - Assistant Coach at Willamette University

2016 - Assistant Coach for Vancouver Victory

2016-2018 - Head Coach for Corban University’s women's program (held the highest winning percentage in program history for any head coach.)

2017 - Head Coach for Capital FC Atletica 

2017-current - Coach with Coerver and Capital FC’s youth programs
