SALEM, Ore. — Nearly 300 people gathered at the Salem Convention Center Saturday, November 2nd at Capital FC’s 9th Annual Soccer Ball and Benefit Auction, presented by Pioneer Trust Bank. The auction held a record number of attendees and earnings, raising over $85,000 to support Capital FC programs and scholarships.
The night began with a superb silent auction, with over 150 items donated by teams and businesses around Salem and beyond. Dinner and the live auction followed. Capital FC’s Executive Director Collin Box acted as emcee of the evening and was joined by two guest speakers spoke about the impact CFC has made on their individual lives.
Annouscka Kordom, who currently plays for CFC Atletica, sees the inspiration that the club brings and that we’re “heading in the right direction.” “I am forever grateful to this sport. It has not only opened many doors for me, but it has brought some amazing people into my life. Soccer has changed my life for the better.”
“We are so grateful for the outpouring of support from our community. It validates our belief that CFC is more than a soccer club,” says Box.
